Bar Hill News

The Bar Hill News is entirely funded by advertising. If you'd like to include your advert in the magazine, the publication deadline is the same as for articles—usually the second Thursday of the month.

We print monthly issues throughout the year. When we were printing/ collating the issue ourselves, it didn't make sense to require our team to work during Christmas week. With automated external printing (via Solopress), we have enough time in December to produce and print the January issue (although this does mean the deadline falls earlier in the month).

Thanks to generous local sponsorship from the Shish Kitchen, we are now able to print the Bar Hill News in full colour every single month. 

Once printed, the Bar Hill News is delivered to every doorstep in Bar Hill (2,000 copies), and bundles are left at the Health Centre, the Fox, the Library, and Bar Hill Sports and Social Club (at the village hall). We usually have the bundles available for collection by our deliverers at the end of the month—delivery usually takes place in the first week of the month.

On the 1st of the Month, the magazine will be available online (via the Internet Archive). In addition, we manage several email (notify-only) lists;

• BHN Contributors - A list of local clubs and groups who submit articles/ generate news for each issue. You will be emailed once a month with the deadline for the next issue (and a few future deadlines).

• BHN Digital Copy Recipients - Emailed once a month with a link to the new issue.

All email distribution lists are managed by the BHN Editor (bhn-editor@barhill-ca.org). To be added to either of the lists, you can click on the buttons provided below and fill in your details. To be removed, please don't hesitate to contact the Editor directly.
